When I began planning workshops to help other photographers expand their businesses and enhance their photography skills, I could’ve never anticipated the plethora of wonderful relationships that would be brought into my life. With each event comes a new group of passionate, talented and determined individuals ready to turn their dream into the real thing, and the attendees at my May workshop were no exception! These folks brought their thirst for growth, strong willingness to learn, and it was truly moving to be in the presence of so much passion!
Day one was our business intensive which meant it was time to face the areas of our businesses that were holding us back. By carefully unraveling our processes and diving deeper into strategic thinking, we were able to build new and effective action plans for a brighter future. I love the first day because once the discussion begins, everyone becomes more and more vulnerable. The walls come down and all of a sudden we’re all helping each other through obstacles. It’s actually pretty incredible to watch as a room full of creatives long to not only take their own businesses to the next level but also help those around them rise as well.
Day two was all about getting our cameras out, tackling the scenarios that we find to be most challenging, and learning new techniques to strengthen our overall approach! We covered it all, leveraging natural light and embracing the harsh sun, client communication to ensure an honest and beautiful photograph, manipulating camera settings to achieve the frame and look we long for, off and on camera flash, and so much more. It was a whole lotta creative energy surrounded by lots of laughs and great memories with new friends!
Thank you so much to the talented creatives who took part in the workshop. I’m so grateful for your amazing influence and endless support!
